Lt.Col. Paul Rorive 


LTC Paul RORIVE was born on June 26, 1952 in Elisabethville (former Belgian Congo). Graduated Industrial Engineer in 1976, he joined the Belgian Air Force in 1977 and flew during training on Siai Marchetti SF 260, Fouga Magister and T-33 (T-Bird). Getting his pilot's Wings in 1979, he completed an operational conversion on Mirage V and was assigned to the 1 Fighter Bomber Squadron "Thistle" in Bierset. In 94, after almost 15 years flying on Mirage V (2000 flying hours), he moved to the training world as CO 7 Squadron Advanced Flying School "Red Cocottes" on Alpha-Jet. From 96 till 99, he became instructor T-37 (1350 Hrs) within the Euro NATO Joint Jet Flying Training (ENJJPT) in Wichita Falls (Texas). Back in Belgium in the 1 Wing at Beauvechain, he again became CO of the 7 Sqn (Fouga) and was flight-instructor on Fouga (1400 Hrs) and Marchetti (1200 Hrs). With more than 6850 flying hours in his logbook, he performed his sixth and last year as Fouga display pilot in 2007. He is married to Anny and has 2 sons, Marc and Olivier. His hobbies are motor biking, R/C model flying and flying with paraglider/paramotor. He is currently flying the Piper Cub for the Belgian Air Cadets.

 CDT. JC Kotwicz-Herniczek 


CDT. Jean-Charles Kotwicz-Herniczk joined the Belgian Air Force in 1974 and graduated in 1977. He flew as Instructor pilot on marchetti, Fougaand T-33. Between 1980 and 1983 he transfered briefly to the 15th wing to fly the HS-478. In the mid 1990's he went to Texas as an IP on T-37 for the Euro NATO JJPT program. After returning to Belgium he became Oerations Officer for the Flight Fouga. He totalises over 6500 flying hours of which 4000 on Fouga. After leaving the Air Force he moved to Canada where he is currently a civilian IP and fights forest fires as first officer on Lockheed Electra.

 CDT. Eugene Hedebouw 


CDT. Eugene Hedebouw was born in 1952. He joined the Belgian Air Force in 1972 en received his wings in 1974. After his operational conversion course on Mirage V, he joined the 1SQN in Bierset AB. From december 1977 until august 1985 he was Instructor Pilot on Fouga, T-33 and Alpha-Jet. He was CO of the Flight Fouga from 1985 until 1987. When the Fouga's regrouped in Brustem he became Operations Officer of 33SQN. He totalises 4650 flying hours of which 2450 on Fouga.
